Create a Webinar Website… Where to start?

September 25, 2015 3:35 pm

I want to develop a website dedicated to market a wide variety of Webinars that I will charge for.

My thought was to use the “Minamaze Pro” and integrate your “GoToTraining” pluggin with the E-commerce WOO. I am confused as to what I need to create a fully functional system.

Can you tell me what I need to accomplish this… and if there is someone that can put this site together if I so decide.

Thanks, Chip Rose

  • Hi Chip,

Thanks for stopping by. To put together a site marketing and selling webinars, the basic ingredients are:

    1) WordPress
    2) WooCommerce
    3) GoToWebinar or GoToTraining account with Citrix

Once you have those three items installed/configured/purchased you can select any number of prebuilt WordPress themes (look for ones that are WooCommerce compatible) or you can have a custom theme developed. If you go with a prebuilt theme, we can help you integrate with some affordable Premium Support options. If you decide to develop a custom theme our parent company MuthCo provides that service, as do myriads of other companies. We’re happy to provide you a more detailed quote if that is the direction you choose.

Either way, please feel free to ask any other questions you may have and thanks again for stopping by.

    Enjoy your day!

  • Hi Brandon,

Thank you so much for the reply and info. I want to develop a site that offers webinars for 12-different Microsoft and Adobe software programs… There are about 50 different courses that will be scheduled out from Jan 2016 thru Dec 2016 (about 700 scheduled classes). I have been using GoToWebinar for years so it’s great you’all have a plugin for that… and I like how your plugin works with auto-scheduling, etc.

So if I understand you right, I need…

    * GoToWP for GoToWebinar ($79)
    * WooCommerce (free download) eCommerce Solution
    * PreBuilt WordPress Theme (I have MinAmaze) but if you know that’s better

You mentioned your company building one (theme) as a possibility. Can you give me a quote and can I draw something up as far as what I’d like the pages should look like in general?

    Thank you so much.

  • Brandon,

I just wrote you a note, but then lost my screen so I don’t know if you received it, so I will state it again.

I really appreciate you replying to my note. I have had a software training company for the past 35 years and do quite a few webinars with GoToWebinar. I would like to develop a website where people can sign up for any one of about 600 live webinar classes based on Microsoft and Adobe software.

I like the idea that you have the “GoToWP for GoToWebinar” plugin that would then interface with the “WooThemes” “WooCommerce” eCommerce plugin. I plan on using “Minamaze” theme but if you have one that would work better I’m all for it. Actually, I would feel better working with one that you recommend and/or sell.

Also, I would like a quote for a custom theme… how would we go about doing that?

Let me know what you think.

    Thanks, Chip Rose … ChipRose@brightinsight.com
