WooCommerce Subscriptions and GoToWebinar via GoToWP Premium

Hi There,

I’m planning to sell a monthly and yearly subscription which gives my customers access to all my webinars on GoToWebinar.

I have a couple of questions I’m hoping you can help clarify:

(1) Does your premium plugin support WooCommerce Subscription products (https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-subscriptions/)

(2) Does the customer automatically get direct access to Go To Webinar on purchase when they have their account created?

(3) Is there a log of attendance of those customers at the webinars?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,
Cal

  • Hi, thanks for the post! Answers below:

    1) Plugin is currently not integrated with Subscription products. To date, no one has requested that functionality, as every transaction has been related to individual webinars.
    2) Not sure exactly what you mean here, but when you sell a webinar product through Woo Commerce, the customer gets email from GoToWebinar with webinar details and they also see Join Now (or Watch Now if product is a recording) buttons in their My Account section of your website. If they purchase webinar using the shortcode, they simple receive the email from GoToWebinar with webinar details.
    3) Order log would be kept in Woo Commerce, but for more detailed reports regarding webinar attendees, those are kept in you GoToWebinar account.

Thanks and please let us know if you have additional questions!

    • Great thanks so much for the reply.

I just had a thought of a potential way around not integrating with WooCommerce subscriptions.

What if I was to sell a separate WooCommerce subscriptions membership product on my site and then create individual WooCommerce ‘products’ for each of my webinars and just have them as a $0 product on the site that was restricted for purchase only by a logged in member on WordPress?

Do you think this would work ok?

      Thanks in advance.

      Cheers,
      Cal

  • Hi Cal,

I do something similar, however, I use paid membership pro plugin to handle the memberships (our memberships are 1 year) and then charge based on their memberships. It works pretty well. If someone is not a member, it charges the full price.
