Would like to purchase your plugin, need to get it working first.

I posted a support message recently about your free version of the plugin. It was not displaying the form and I had checked and double checked that I had set up everything correctly. You had asked for ftp access and I was unable to provide it for you at the time, however I have since gotten it. Can you please assist me in finding what may be causing the problem? Our end goal is to use the Woocommerce addon that your premium plugin offers. I have the ftp credentials and will just need your IP address so that I can give you access to the backend of the site. I would have just posted this on my earlier thread but I believe you had probably marked it as complete and would not reply. Thank you for your help.

  • I’m in the same boat as this user. I’m evaluating the free version of the plugin to see if it’s a fit for future use. I think it may be per the documentation, but I can’t get it to work. As with the user above, I’ve gone through the troubleshooting steps and confirmed everything. Plugged in my key and token, but the admin page won’t list any of my trainings. Stuck.

  • Hi, thanks for posts!

@pmidev – please send details to help [at] gotowp [dot] com and we’ll reply with IP address to that email.

@genesmith – sounds like you’re using it for GoToTraining? When you generated key / token, did you click the “G2T OAuth Flow” button (and not the G2W one)?

  • Hey @gotowp, I’ll need to check with the folks who submitted the keys to me. I was clear as to the steps they needed to take, but will check again.

  • I confirmed that I had the correct key/token generated via the G2T button. When I attempt to save details, I see an “Update Trainings” section. When I click on the “Update Trainings” button, I don’t see any trainings listed. We do have a live G2T page up and people are registering on it. I just can’t get anything to pull into the GoToWP admin page.

  • @pmidev – received access details and you were using wrong shortcode format. You had:

    [register_free_webinar webid=< a href="https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/XXXXXXXXXXX" rel="nofollow">< /a>]

    when all you need is:

    [register_free_webinar webid=XXXXXXXXXXX]

Just the number and not the full URL is needed for the shortcode. We emailed link to your dev site where registration form is now showing. Thanks and have a nice day!

  • @genesmith – we’re in a surprisingly good mood today 😉 so feel free to send WP Admin and FTP to help [at] gotowp [dot] com and we’ll take a quick look if you like

  • @genesmith – actually, before you send, can you please try adding a training id from Citrix to the shortcode in a page or post and let us know if the form appears? As the list of available trainings or webinars does not show in the free version.

  • @gotowp — No, the form still isn’t appearing. I’ll send an email over to you with creds. thx!

  • @genesmith – to recap email convo, issue was shortcode is slightly different for G2T than it is for G2W.

    For G2W: [register_free_webinar webid=xxxxxxx]
    For G2T: [register_free_training id=xxxxxxxxxxxx]

We’ll give some thought to making these the same in order to prevent confusion, however, in the meantime that is difference. Thanks and please let us know if you have any more questions!
